I started playing with fabrics & sewing around the age of 5 or 6. Mom made a pattern for skirt & blouse for my fashion doll. If there was any scrap materials of any kind, there was a good chance it ended up with my doll. If it was fabric, it became clothes. If it was a spool, it became a chair or base for a floor lamp. When I was about 20, Mom taught me to quilt on pre-printed fabric. Life kept me busy, so quilting went by the wayside, until the last year or so. Even though I’m busier than ever, I find myself with more time to design & play. Maybe, some day, I can retire & do a lot more with fabrics.
